which were read aloud by her stepfather, John Phillips, in the courtroom,
after the conviction of her murderer.
The illegal alien criminal Jose Antonio Ibarra was found guilty this week
in the vicious murder of Georgia nursing student Laken Riley.
Ibarra, 26, who came to America illegally from Venezuela, waived
his right to a jury and left his fate in the hands of Superior Court
Judge H. Patrick Haggard, reports The Daily Signal.
Judge Haggard sentenced Ibarra to life in prison without parole.
The defendant was found guilty on 10 counts, including felony
murder and malice murder, aggravated assault with intent to rape,
kidnapping with bodily injury, and other charges according to FOX and CNN.
Last February, Laken, age 22, left her home to go for a morning run along
a wooded trail on the Athens campus of the University of Georgia when
she was attacked by the assailant. Authorities determined that she
died from blunt force trauma and suffocation.
Jose Ibarra smashed Laken Riley's skull with a rock.
Has justice really been served in this case? While the guilty verdict may
bring some closure to Laken's grieving family, what about the reality
that this horrible crime might never have happened if this Venezuelan
gang member had not been let into our nation due to the failed
border policies of the Biden-Harris Administration?
A young woman in the prime of her life was struck down by
an illegal criminal alien who was flown-first to NYC
and then to Georgia-at the US taxpayers' expense, by a
president who could not even say Laken Riley's name!
Adding insult to injury, at the State of the Union speech this year, Biden claimed
that he 'regretted' referring to an undocumented immigrant as an 'illegal'
-in this case the murderer Jose Antonio Ibarra. In a post-speech interview
with MSNBC, Biden did not even mention the Laken Riley case.
Meanwhile, all VP Kamala Harris has done is blame Donald Trump for the
mess at the border when she had been appointed "Border Czar" by her boss!
But all her nit-picking against Trump did nothing to stop Ibarra from entering
the US illegally on her watch, and eventually murdering Laken Riley.
Both President Joe Biden and VP Kamala Harris bear responsibility
in the death of Laken Riley and other American citizens murdered by
illegals in the past four years. Their all-too obvious scheme to overwhelm
and destroy our nation from within by allowing unvetted illegals to
swamp our borders, flying them into major U.S. cities and supplying
them with welfare benefits, free healthcare, free education, free
housing in schools and hotels, etc. at the expense of the American
taxpayers, directly contributed to the death of this noble-minded
young woman who was aspiring to serve the needs of others
by studying to become a nurse.
As a mother, I cannot image the immeasurable sorrow that Laken's
family must feel in the cruel and senseless loss of their beautiful daughter.
I pray that God will comfort them in His love and mercy and grant them His peace.
Rest well, Laken, in the tender arms of Jesus.
