While I am happy and thankful to have seen IDF soldier and my fellow American and
New Jersey resident Edan Alexander released from Hamas captivity this past week,
I am not at all pleased with President Trump cutting deals with Qatar and Saudi Arabia.
Edan's release was the result of the machinations of Qatar, the extremely wealthy,
oil-rich nation whose government leaders are the protectors and defenders of Hamas,
who have been calling most of the shots in that terror organization's war against Israel.
What about the remaining hostages? Why didn't President Trump demand the release
of all those still being held by Hamas before cutting any deals with these terror-masters?
Furthermore, Qatar is the same nation which has given vast amounts of money (estimated to
be about 6.3 billion dollars) in order to infiltrate Western academia, the result of which was
clearly seen in the violent, anti-Israel, pro-Hamas demonstrations held on American college
and university campuses last year. Meanwhile, western media outlets have apparently been
bought and sold by Qatar too, and are digging deep to promote that nation's hateful anti-West,
anti-America, anti-Israel, pro-Islamist propaganda.
Fifteen of the nineteen hijackers who murdered thousands of Americans and others on
September 11, 2001 came from Saudi Arabia. Both Saudi Arabia and Qatar stand accused
of some of the worst human rights violations in the world. Although Saudi Arabia claims it
wants to have normalized relations with Israel, why were they, along with most of the
nations in the Middle East, remotely silent on October 7, 2023 when Hamas launched
their grisly assault on southern Israel, attacking concert goers at the Nova Festival
being held there, while massacring thousands of Israeli men, women, and children
living in communities along the Gaza border?
The apostle Paul warned in 1 Timothy 6:10, "For the love of money is the root to all kinds
of evil. By craving it, some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves
with many sorrows." No matter how well-meaning President Trump is in his dealings
with these nations, I strongly believe that Qatar will never be an ally of the
United States of America. Quoting the late Italian journalist Oriana Fallaci
concerning the stealth jihad she witnessed happening in Europe in the
early 2000's: "The moment you give up your principles, and your values,
you are dead, your culture is dead, your civilization is dead. Period."
