In this episode of FORGOTTEN HISTORY, host Colin Heaton recounts the
true story of Colonel John Henry Patterson, a brave engineer-turned-hunter
determined to stop the killing spree of the Tsavo maneaters, at least two rogue
lions which terrorized railway bridge workers in British East Africa in 1898.
In a eerie twist, many of the Indian and African laborers who worked on the
railroad insisted that these lions were not lions at all, but demons in disguise.
Although their fears were dismissed as mere superstition, the method of
operation used by these "lions" was very strange to say the least.
