Our American Heroes: Remembering Lt. General David E. Grange (1925-2022)

 

Veteran of the United States Army,  Lt. General David E. Grange enlisted in 1943,
 and took part in the Rome-Arno, Southern France, Rhineland, Ardennes, and
  Central Europe Campaigns during World War II as a member of the
517th Parachute Infantry Regiment.

In 1949, he left the 82nd Airborne Division to attend Officer Candidate School.
He was commissioned a second lieutenant in 1950 and later served with the
187th Airborne Infantry Regiment during the war in Korea. He was awarded
numerous decorations, medals, and badges for his military service which include
 the Defense Distinguished Service Medal, the Distinguished Flying Cross,
and the Silver Star for heroism in combat.

Mr. Grange died on September 11, 2022 at the age of 97.
