On My Mind: Chick-fil-Apostasy?

In a recent and startling decision, Chick-fil-A,
the fast food restaurant known for their delicious
chicken sandwiches, but perhaps more for their famous
stand on upholding the sanctity of traditional marriage,
and Christian values, like honoring the Sabbath by being closed
on Sundays, despite the consistent and mean-spirited attacks,
and orchestrated protests staged against them by forces
of the political Left, has suddenly gone AWOL.

According to an article from the Life News website,
the once unabashedly Christian fast food establishment- at least when
founder Truett Cathy was still alive- has unceremoniously decided
to join the ever increasing ranks of apostate Christianity in America.

The report claims that in 2017 Chick-fil-A made a donation
to the Southern Poverty Law Center, a far left-wing watch dog
group which in the past has publicly decried such notable Christian
organizations like the Family Research Center as a "hate group".

Chick-fil-A's startling announcement, that it will no longer fund the Salvation Army,
the Paul Anderson Youth Home, and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes- three
organizations known for espousing solid biblical principles- and who have
all been targeted by groups like the SPLC, as "anti-LGBTQ hate groups"
seems more than just a coincidence to me.  In fact, in a press release,
Chick-fil-A acknowledges that these organizations were
"characterized as anti-LGBT groups".

Meanwhile, the Salvation Army has responded to this decision by
Chick-fil-A with their own press release:  "We're saddened to learn
that a corporate partner has felt it necessary to divert funding to
other hunger, education, and homeless organizations."

For many years, the Salvation Army has worked to provide assistance
for all three crucial issues:feeding the hungry, supporting education, and
helping those who are homeless.  They do not support LGBTQ activism.
This is why they have been deemed a "hate group" by the political Left.

Rodney Bullard, VP of Corporate Responsibility and the Executive
Director of  the Chick-fil-A Foundation had this to say:  "We don't want our
intent and our work to be encumbered by someone else's politics or
cultural war.  If something gets in the way of our mission, that
is something that we are mindful and cognizant of."

If this is the truth, Mr. Bullard, then why has Chick-fil-A
apparently caved in to the dictates of the current "cultural war"
being waged against Christianity in America by the political Left?

Where has your faith gone Chick-fil-A?
You cannot serve two masters, God and money.

Do you honestly believe that those supporting LGBTQ activism
and other immoral causes truly care about damaged souls in
human flesh?  The answer is no.

The Democrat Party in particular is using their support of the LGBTQ agenda
for political reasons only, in order to gain back complete control in Washington,
so they can push forward the evil Equality Act, which, if passed into law, will nullify
forever the sacredness of Holy Matrimony between a man and a woman in
this nation, as well as eradicate the traditional family concept of husband-father,
wife-mother, son and daughter, which has long been the basis
of American society as well as an important part of
our heritage as "One Nation Under God".

The Equality Act will also seek to punish, with fines and possible imprisonment,
Christian pastors who refuse to perform so-called, "same-sex marriages".
The true purpose of this legislation is to erode forever the moral and
spiritual legacy which has defined America as a land of free
and independent people for 243 years.

Our nation came about as a result of the steadfast faith and courage
of our pilgrim ancestors, Christian believers from Europe
fleeing religious corruption and persecution, who came here
to the New World to worship the Lord in spirit and in truth.

Upon arriving safely on dry land again, these bedraggled
refugees whom came ashore at Cape Henry, Virginia and later
in Plymouth, Massachusetts, sunk to their grateful knees and
spoke prayers of thanksgiving to Almighty God for safe
passage across the stormy Atlantic ocean.  They also
dedicated the ground beneath them to the Lord Jesus Christ.

Although our founding fathers later borrowed inspiration
from the Holy Scriptures in forming the governing principles of
the nation which would one day become the United States of America,
we owe a tremendous depth of gratitude to those humble pilgrims
and their remarkable faith in Almighty God and in His Word,
for our continued existence on this earth today.

I wonder if those who've made the drastic changes in corporate policy
at Chick-fil-A are aware that many of those who identify themselves
as LGBTQ suffer from a high rate of depression and suicide?

Do they not see that hopelessly broken people are in need of salvation,
and to hear the truth of God's Word, especially that God loves them
so much that He sent His only begotten Son to die for them on the cross?

Do you, Chick-fil-A, further not see the tremendous need for
intercessory prayers against forces of profound wickedness in high places
of power, both human and spiritual, which are actively seeking to divide and to
destroy our country?  Are you aware of the saying, "Satan never sleeps?"

Are you further aware that the enemy knows he is running out of time
and that he is determine to take as many human souls into hell with him as possible?

Apparently not.  It seems that you, Chick-fil-A, have decided to scrap eternal
issues to focus on the here and now. To sacrifice principle for profit.

Jesus was clear in meaning when He said,  "For what does it profit
a man to gain the whole world, and forfeit his life in the eternal kingdom
of God? For what can a man give as an exchange for his blessed life
in the eternal kingdom of God?"
 Mark 8:36-37

He further admonished those who do put their faith and their trust in Him
with these words, "And do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill
the soul; but rather be afraid of Him who can destroy both soul and body in hell."
Matthew 10:28

Please allow His words to sink in and think about it Chick-fil-A.
