Tropical Storm Elsa?

 

There's a new tropical disturbance in the central Atlantic waters which the
National Hurricane Center has designated Potential Tropical Cyclone Five.
It could soon become Tropical Storm Elsa as it heads for the Caribbean.

As of 7:00 pm CDT this potential tropical storm was located about
1,135 miles east of the Windward Islands and moving west-northwest
at 21 mph.  The storm's top winds are 35 mph and increasing in
strength.  Tropical storm watches have been issued for much of the
Caribbean, including St. Vincent and the Grenadines, St. Lucia,
Barbados, Martinique and Guadeloupe.

According to the hurricane center, the storm will pass near or
over parts of the Windward Islands or southern Leeward Islands
on Friday and enter the eastern Caribbean later on that day
before moving towards the southern coast of Hispaniola on Saturday.

Could Elsa make it as far as the Gulf of Mexico and the mainland U.S.?
Forecasters say it's too early to tell right now.
But stay tuned folks!

who recently ended his show with a Lincoln Project video calling the
  brave American heroes who stormed the beaches of Normandy, France
 on D-Day 1944  Antifa, now falsely claims that the "right-wing freak out"
about Critical Race Theory began in California in the 1960's
 and was instigated primarily by "right-wing extremist groups"
like The John Birch Society.

On My Mind: It's Not A Social Problem, It's A Sin Problem

 

When I first read about this incident involving Gwen Berry, 
 an American athlete who deliberately turned her back 
 and walked away while the national anthem was
playing at a recent U.S Track and Field competition
I was disgusted and angry by her selfishness
and lack of respect for our nation.

According to CBN News: "Berry placed her left hand on her hip and
shuffled her feet.  She took a quarter turn, so she was facing the stands,
not the flag.  Towards the end, she plucked up her black T-shirt with
the words, "Activist Athlete" emblazoned on the front and
draped it over her head."

A definite attention and headline grabber, don't you think?

While Berry may have been a sore loser because she won the bronze medal instead
of the gold in the hammer-throwing competition, her disgraceful behavior 
definitely threw a monkey's wrench into her plan to call attention
 to herself as a pitiful "Activist Athlete".

"They said they were going to play it before we walked out, and then they
played it when we were out there," Berry complained, according to the
New York Post.  "But I don't really want to talk about the anthem
because that's not important.  The anthem doesn't speak for me. It never has."

Since her scheme fizzled right in her face, she is now calling out the event
organizers for being "inconsiderate" to her over playing the national anthem.

According to CBN, this is not the first time Berry has acted badly during
an athletic competition.  Two years ago she was sanctioned by the
U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Committee for raising her fist
on the podium after winning at the Pan-Am Games.

If our national anthem does not speak for her and never has,
then why did she choose to participate in an international
sporting event in which the playing of the national anthems 
 of the countries competing is such an integral part?

This month observed the 78th anniversary of D-Day, 
 the storming of the beaches at Normandy, France which began
the invasion by Allied forces whom would eventually liberate 
 Europe from the evil tyranny of  Hitler's Germany.

 I suppose the sacrifices made by those young American soldiers,
many of whom were black, and many the same age as herself,
who gave their lives so that future generations of Americans,
 including hers, could live and breathe the air of
  freedom doesn't "speak to" her  either.

This young woman's antics to draw attention to herself and then
 whining and complaining when she did not achieve the desired results,
is not only typical of the adherents of the "woke culture"
but, as I mentioned earlier, her behavior made me angry.
  However later, after I had time to calm down and think,
the gentle counsel of the Holy Spirit reminded me to ask God 
 to bless and have mercy on this troubled young woman. 

She, like many other members of her generation, have been led to
believe that they are entitled to feel the way they do because people,
and our society in general, have stigmatized them, primarily due 
 to their skin color and race.

  And while I am not denying that America has 
 suffered much race-related strife and violence over the years,
  before pointing the finger at and accusing others, members of the
"woke" culture need to take a good hard look at themselves
in the mirror and realize that what is reflected back at them 
 is a flawed human being, and, that prejudice and racism
are conditions which are not so much a social problem, 
but a sin problem, which affects every
human heart, including their own.

The only reprieve that human beings have for escaping
the penalty of sin and death as the fallen sons and
daughters of Adam, regardless of their race or skin color,
is to surrender themselves at the foot of the cross.

Jesus came not only to grant us a reprieve from the 
curse of sin and death, but, to pierce our hearts with 
 the light of His truth and His mercy, so that we 
can experience healing and inner peace 
in unbroken fellowship with Him,
 as the sons and daughters of Almighty God.

On My Mind: Kamala At The Border

 

This was definitely not a "run for the border" to grab some spicy
 Chalupa Supremes at the local Taco Bell.  The hastily contrived  photo-op
  arranged for the crafty "Czarina of the Border" a.k.a. VP Kamala Harris
 was yet just another vain attempt for her to look good while presenting a "show  
of real concern" about what's happening down along the Rio Grande River.

Kamala's surprise trip to El Paso is most likely a calculated move on
the part of her handlers to head off President Trump and Texas Governor
 Greg Abbott at the pass.  They're scheduled to visit there next week.

Oh, those Dems are so hilariously predictable!

The only people that the Democrats are genuinely concerned about
are themselves, and the execution of their disingenuous plan to
 "Build, Back, Better"- destroying all the pluses Americans gained
under four years of President Donald Trump-by employing communist 
tactics under the guise of social justice reform, supporting violent 
upheaval in the streets of  American cities, and using a
  planned "pandemic" -to radically transform our nation.  

The Democrats are not only hoping to destroy forever
 America's unique, Christ-centered heritage and culture,
but seek to eradicate our God-given right to freedom,
and America's independence as a constitutionally
protected Republic.

One of the aspects of this multi-faceted plan is, of course, to
flood our nation with illegals.  Never mind where these people 

 are coming from, or if they share similar values with
 responsible, law-abiding American citizens,
or if they have long and violent criminal histories.

The Dems are too busy adding these illegals to their "Build, Back, Better"
voting bloc scam and could care less about the imminent dangers
 Americans living along our southern borders are facing on a daily basis.

But why should Democrats fret over these drastic conditions on
our southern borders?

  Speaker of the House Nancy "I'm A Good Catholic" Pelosi,
 Senator Chuck Schumer, and the rest of the elitist Democrat Reich,
along with many of their grossly obsequious Republican counterparts
across the political aisle, live in the lap of luxury, which includes affording
highly protected homes equipped with their own private
 security forces to guard them and their families.

I just read a recent article about New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy
 using federal funds to provide a whopping 40 million dollars in one-time
stimulus payments to our state's undocumented immigrants via executive order.

Not only is this man's abuse of power appalling, but since he is a dutiful shill
in good standing with the Democrat party bosses in Washington DC
he is being rewarded for his efforts by getting away with it!

What about the many New Jersey residents who are legal American citizens 
 and who have been severely affected financially by Murphy's illegal Covid-19
"lockdowns" last year?  Furthermore, this is federal money which he is allocating
and it should only be given to American citizens who are legal residents of the
 Garden State.   No "one-time stimulus" payments or other perks like voting rights,
free healthcare, welfare, or education should ever be given
 to illegal squatters on American soil!

Flashback Friday: Theme From "A Summer Place" Percy Faith And His Orchestra

 

Today would have been the 61st anniversary of my
 parents' marriage.  My mother told me that while she
and Dad were dating, the beautiful theme from the 1959 movie,
"A Summer Place" was one of the most popular songs playing on 
the radio and was still at the top of the charts on their wedding day
 June 25, 1960.  It was their song.

Tonight's Strawberry Moon

Strawberry season was short and sweet in New Jersey this year but you
 can still find luscious berries from California at your local supermarket
or farm stand.  Jersey blueberries and peaches are now in season too!

It will be the lowest moon of the year and the most
colorful, although it will not be red like the delicious
 berry it is named for!

According to the folks over at the Old Farmer's Almanac, 
this month's Full Strawberry Moon will reach peak illumination
at 2:40 pm (EST) but will not be seen until later on in the evening.

This month's full moon is the lowest moon of the year, standing
20 degrees high this evening and on Friday night when it will reach
its apex around 1:00 AM.

Furthermore, lovely Luna will be at her most colorful tonight as 
 her low trajectory must shine through the thickest possible air,
-earth's atmosphere's reddening effect- which will give
her face a lovely amber or honey-colored blush.

Hope the skies are clear tonight where you are!
