"This then was the lot of the children of Judah by their families; even to
the border of Edom, the wilderness of Zin southward was the uttermost
part of the south coast...Ashdod with her towns and her villages,
Gaza with her towns and her villages, unto the river of Egypt,
and the great sea, and the border thereof..."
(Joshua 15:1, 47)
In the wake of the astonishing press conference with President Donald Trump
and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu early this week, while I agree
that Gaza should be and can be rebuilt, should the United States of America
also "take over" this strip of land on the coast of Israel? The answer is no!
Israel should not give up sovereignty over any more of their land, no matter
how well-intentioned President Trump might be about rebuilding Gaza.
The land thereof was divinely bequeathed to Israel by Almighty God.
While I understand that our current leader is sincere in his intentions,
and that his out-of-the-box thinking is more like that of a businessman and
real estate mogul than a politician, God in His thinking, remains unchanged.
Israel needs to reclaim Gaza which they gave up due to the pressure put on
them by past US administrations. If America wants to help rebuild the
towns and cities there, like we have helped rebuild war-ravaged areas of
the world in the past, then may be we should, but, with no further claim to it.
Frankly speaking, I believe that neither Israel or America should have to
rebuilt Gaza. I think that the bulk of the funds should come in the form of
reparations from both the United Nations and the oil rich Gulf state of Qatar.
The anti- Israel UN was caught red-handed in its complicity in aiding
the massacre of Israeli citizens via their UNWRA unit stationed in Gaza.
Meanwhile, the nation of Qatar has been the mouthpiece spewing forth
demands from the head honchos of Hamas, whom found an opulent
sanctuary for themselves there while their henchmen raped, mutilated,
and murdered more than 1200 Israeli citizens, and took hundreds more
people hostage on October 7th, 2023, not to mention stole mass quantities
of humanitarian aid from the people of Gaza and blamed Israel for it.
The UN and Qatar have substantial blood on their conspiratorial hands
and should not be left off the hook in this situation.
I think it is a good idea that the Gazan war refugees be re-located to
Jordan and Egypt. Historically, most of their ancestors came from these
two nations in the first place. The late PLO leader Yassir Arafat was born
in Egypt, while the present Queen Raina of Jordan claims Palestinian descent.
These two nations are often critical of Israel's alleged harsh and inhumane
treatment of the so-called, "Palestinians". Why should either of them
be reluctant to help these people now?
There can never be a "Palestinian State" in Gaza or any place else
side by side with the nation of Israel. This long time insanity often
proposed by western politicians, especially in America, is a joke.
If Israel was ever coerced into accepting a "Palestinian State" they
might as well sign their nation's death certificate in the process. With
all the land that Israel has been forced to relinquish over the years to
their sworn enemies, neither the Palestinian Authority nor Hamas
has ever been required to change their organizations' charters,
which call for the annihilation of Israel and the Jewish people.
The late Zuheir Mohsen, a leader in the Syrian-branch of the PLO,
spoke the truth about this ever on-going situation between Israel and her
enemies when he told the Dutch newspaper, Trouw, nearly fifty years ago:
"The Palestinian people do not exist. The creation of a Palestinian state
is only a means for continuing our struggle against the state of Israel
for our Arab unity. In reality, today there is no difference between
Jordanians, Palestinians, Syrians, and Lebanese.
Only for political and tactical reasons do we speak today about the
existence of a Palestinian people, since Arab interests demand that we
posit the existence of a distinct "Palestinian people" to oppose Zionism.
Yes, the existence of a separate Palestinian identity exists only for
tactical reasons, Jordan, which is a sovereign state with defined borders,
cannot raise claims to Haifa and Jaffa, while as a Palestinian, I can
undoubtedly demand Haifa, Jaffa, Beer-Sheva and Jerusalem.
However, the moment we reclaim our right to all of Palestine,
we will not wait even a minute to unite Palestine and Jordan."
