Fourth Sunday Meditation: For To Us A Child Is Born

"For to us a Child is born, to us a Son is given;
and the government shall be upon His shoulder,
and His name shall be called Wonderful Counselor,
Mighty God, Everlasting Father of Eternity.
Prince of Peace.

Behold The Lamb Of God
Walter Rane

Of the increase of His government and of peace there
shall be no end, upon the throne of David and over his kingdom,
to establish it and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness
from the latter time forth, even forevermore.
The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.
Isaiah 9:6-7

Go, tell it on the mountain,
Over the hills and everywhere
Go, tell it on the mountain,
That Jesus Christ is born.

While shepherds kept their watching
O'er silent flocks by night
Behold throughout the heavens
There shone a holy light.

(Refrain)

The shepherds feared and trembled,
When lo! above the earth,
Rang out the angel chorus
That hailed the Savior's birth.

(Refrain)

Down in a lowly manger
The humble Christ was born
And God sent us salvation
That blessed Christmas morn

(Refrain)
