I went outside to look at the clear night sky last night-something
I often enjoy on warm summer nights, hoping to catch
a glimpse of a stray shooting star from the fading Perseids
meteor shower, (which reached its peak last week while the
skies here were gray and rainy!). This verse came to my mind as I
stood there in silent wonder watching the celestial beauty of the heavens.
"Lift up your eyes on high and see!
Who has created these?
He Who brings out their host by number
and calls them all by name;
through the greatness of His might
and because He is strong in power,
not one is missing or lacks anything."
Isaiah 40:26
