Labor Day Picnic

There is always something sad about the end of summer. 😢

One of my favorite movies centers around events in a small Kansas town over
Labor Day weekend.  Based on the 1953 Broadway play by the same name,
"Picnic" (1955) is the story of a drifter named Hal Carter (William Holden)
who comes to the town to visit an old friend and ends up meeting and falling
in love with a beautiful young woman named Madge Owens (Kim Novak).
