Veteran's Day 2021

"Blessed are they who make peace,

for they will be called the children of God."

(Matthew 5:9)

Twenty three year old US Marine Sgt. Nicole Gee is seen here cradling an Afghan baby at the
airport in Kabul, Afghanistan.  She was one of the 13 US Marines killed in a horrific suicide
bombing there in August.  18 other US service members were injured in the attack.

It is the soldier, not the reporter,

Who has given us freedom of the press,

It is the soldier, not the poet,

Who has given us freedom of speech.

It is the soldier, not the campus organizer,

Who has given us the freedom to demonstrate.

It is the soldier who salutes the flag,

who serves beneath the flag,

and whose coffin is draped by the flag,

who allows the protester to burn the flag.

-Father Dennis O'Brien
United States Marine Corps.

To all American soldiers and veterans past and present,
thank you for your steadfast courage and commitment to
serve and protect the people of the United States of America.

Thank you especially for my freedom.
May God bless and keep you always.

For those who are no longer on this earth,
may they rest in eternal peace.
