Sunday Night In Uncle Walt's Vault: Run, Appaloosa, Run

 

 

 From Season 14 of Walt Disney's Anthology program, which first aired on
network television October 22nd, 1967  "Run Appaloosa Run" is the spirited
tale of a beautiful Nez Perce Indian girl, Mary Blackfeather (Adele Palacios)
 determine to raise a stallion colt after his mother is killed by a mountain lion.

 Mary and the horse named Holy Smoke are eventually separated, however, 
after a series of adventures, they are later reunited at a rodeo, which leads
 to their daring entry into a dangerous mountain relay race.

 This short film was initially released in the movie theaters in 1966 as a
companion feature to Disney's "Lt. Robinson Caruso" starring Dick Van Dyke.
