Who Humbles Himself To Regard The Heavens And The Earth

Many people around the world were fearfully anticipating
the possible end of the world today...and this
number included many professed believers in the
Lord Jesus Christ.

For the answer as to why life on earth as we know it
failed to expire this Saturday, we need to look to the Scriptures
and to the words of Jesus Himself who told us:

"And this good news of the Gospel will be preached
throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations,
and then the end will come."
Matthew 24:14

Although communication in our 21st century world
has been greatly enhanced by advances in technology,
and in the teaching of the Word, there are places in this world
where the good news of the Gospel
has yet to be preached to people.

And I am not just talking about remote mountain villages
in central Asia or in the jungles of the Amazon.
There are many people in the United States of America
today who have never heard the message of the Gospel,
nor do they know what Jesus accomplished for them on the cross.

I have witnessed many people suffering greatly
from a spiritual famine across this great land of plenty.
Many of these same people are looking for answers
to the questions they have about life and the future and
many have fallen prey to the false and unscriptural
teachings of pseudo Internet prophets whose
most recent folly in leading the lost further astray was
convincing many that the world was going to end
in some sort of cataclysmic nightmare this weekend.

Here's the 411 folks.  Only God knows when
this world is going to come to an end.
And although believers in the Lord Jesus Christ should
live in a state of preparation for His imminent return,  no
one, not the angels in heaven, nor even Jesus Himself
knows that day or the hour of His coming.
Only the Father knows.

"Sky and earth will pass away, but My
words will not pass away.
But of that exact day and hour,
no one knows, not even the angels of
heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father."
Matthew 24:35-36

"Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in
and rely on God; believe in and rely also on Me."
John 14:1

Praise Adonai!

Praise the Lord!  Hallelujah!
Praise, O servants of the Lord,
praise the name of the Lord!
Blessed be the name of the Lord from
this time forth and forever.
From the rising of the sun to the going
down of it and from east to west, the name
of the Lord is to be praised!
The Lord is high above all nations,
and His glory above the heavens!
Who is like our God,
Who has His seat on high,
Who humbles Himself to regard
the heavens and the earth!
The Lord raises the poor out of
the dust and lifts the needy from the
ash heap and the dung hill.
That He may seat them with princes,
even with the princes of His people.
He makes the barren woman to be
a homemaker and a joyful mother
of spiritual children.
Praise the Lord!
Hallelujah!
