Thomas Cranmer: Destroyed by Vengeance?

Catholic Queen Mary Tudor was England's reigning sovereign
from July 1553 until her death in 1558.

The only child of King Henry VIII and Queen Catherine of Aragon,
her record for executing Protestants eventually led to her
 infamous
nickname, "Bloody Mary".

On the 21st of March in the year 1556, Thomas Cramner, the former
Archbishop of Canterbury was burnt at the stake in Oxford, England.

How much of a role did vengeful Queen Mary play
 in Cranmer's demise?
