When it was recorded in the August of 1967, "By The Time I Get To Phoenix"
was a big hit for the legendary country singer Glen Campbell.  Next to
"Gentle On My Mind" this ballad of love and loss is one of his most
 beautiful songs.  It always makes me tear up a bit whenever I hear it.
