I was sorry to hear of the passing of the beautiful British-Australian singer
and actress Olivia Newton John tonight after a long battle with cancer.
May she rest in eternal peace.
In addition to her popular country music songs of the early 1970's,
I loved Olivia as the sweet, soft-spoken Australian transfer
student Sandy Olsson in the musical romantic comedy,
"Grease" co-starring actor John Travolta as her
cocky greaser boyfriend Danny Zuko.
The movie was a smashing success during the summer of 1978.
I remember going to see "Grease" at the local movie theater
with my Dad and Mom and family.
It seems like only yesterday.
