On My Mind: The Last Word On Freedom Of Speech

I am not a fan of social media since they actively began to censor the freedom
of speech of Bible-believing Christians, political conservatives, President Trump
and his supporters, pro-Israel, and pro-life organizations, (just to name a few)
or anyone else who is not on board with the WOKE's generation's
new set of rules and regulations.

If Elon Musk can hang in there and buy Twitter without having to compromise on
his personal principles and integrity, while establishing the right of freedom of
speech on social media for all Americans, than by all means he should stick to it.

It might be an uphill battle all the way, but the end result-forcing Twitter and other
social media outlets to comply with the conditions of free speech as originally
put forth in the First Amendment- will be worth the trouble.

The only personal exception I have in regards to freedom of speech is when
people on social media or some other public venue carelessly use filthy cuss words
in the same sentence with the name of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

I realize that many of them do not even realize what they are saying, and
whose name they are invoking along with their spewed expletives, but it
still does not make it right.  Unfortunately, in today's America,
this too is considered, "freedom of speech".

But there was a time in this nation, not too long ago, when you could not use
any kind of blasphemy or vulgarity publicly without facing severe backlash.
The Federal Communications Commission routinely censored and revoked
the license of any public program even suspected of using inappropriate
or vulgar language on their platform.

Perhaps we as a society need to look back to the days of  live radio programs
and television in its infancy and realize that our society has all but dismissed
the need for each individual to be held responsible and accountable for
the public words they speak or tap out as a post on social media.

Dear Abby once said, "Before you speak, ask yourself, "Are my words true?
Are they kind?"  If the answer is no to both of these simple questions,
then I think it would be better for people to keep their mouths shut
and their fingers off the keyboard!
