Monday Meditation: The Four Portraits Of Messiah

 

"And out of the midst of it came the likeness of four living creatures.
And this was their appearance: they had the likeness of man.
But each one had four faces and each one had four wings...

As for the likeness of their faces, they each had the face of a man
in front, and each had the face of a lion on the right side and the face
of an ox on the left side; the four also had the face of an eagle
at the back of their heads."

The Gospel of Matthew presents our Lord as King.

"Where is He Who has been born King of the Jews?
For we have seen His star in the east at its rising
 and have come to worship Him."
