Today I saw on the news that young people in high schools and colleges
across America are staging protests to end gun violence.
While I agree that we need an end to the rampant crime committed by
criminals with guns, I think we also need an end to self-aggrandizing,
agenda-pushing politicians calling to do away with the Second Amendment.
agenda-pushing politicians calling to do away with the Second Amendment.
The suspect in the Parkland, Florida school shooting was a disturbed young man,
whose aberrant behavior was well known to his family, neighbors, peers,
the school administration, local law enforcement and even the FBI.
Yet, no one saw fit to intervene in this young man's life until it was too late.
Furthermore, to blame the NRA for this heinous act, and
indirectly President Trump for his support of this organization is absurd.
The NRA is not the problem. President Trump is not the problem.
The law-abiding American gun owner is not the problem.
The Left and their not-so-secret-anymore agenda to confiscate
guns from law-abiding American citizens is the problem.
Remember folks. Satan never sleeps.
"Today we need a nation of Minutemen,
citizens who are not only prepared to take arms,
but citizens who regard the preservation of freedom
as the basic purpose of their daily life and who are willing
to consciously work and sacrifice for that freedom."
